Below, we would like to inform you about the processing of personal data in connection with the use of Microsoft Teams.
Purpose of data processing:
We use the “Microsoft Teams” tool to conduct online telephone/video conferences, meetings, and/or webinars.
Lawfulness of data processing:
By registering and participating in the webinar, you automatically consent to the use and processing of your personal data (voluntary transmission of data within the framework of the webinar). Your personal data will therefore be processed on the basis of this consent (Article 6, §1a GDPR).
Article 6 §1b GDPR establishes the lawfulness with regard to participating project partners.
Furthermore, your personal data will be processed on the basis of our legitimate interest (see above „Purpose of data processing“) (Art. 6 §1f GDPR).

As a service provider, Microsoft necessarily obtains knowledge of your data, the further use of which is solely the responsibility of Microsoft (https://www.microsoft.com/de-de/privacy/privacystatement).

Scope of personal data:
- Your participation takes place via an invitation with the corresponding login link.
- After logging online, all participants might see each other’s presence (including email address, profile picture, display name, preferred language, etc., if applicable).
- Meeting metadata: Meeting ID, IP address, your phone number if dialing in, date, time, location, duration, activities (joining and leaving).
- Chat/audio/video data: The application has access to your microphone/camera. Your contributions will be transmitted to all participants, as will any noise you make when your microphone is switched on, as well as background/ambient noise. Therefore, only activate your microphone/camera if you wish to participate in the event by making a verbal contribution; otherwise, mute your microphone and switch off your camera. Text entries you make in the chat may be processed and stored/logged if this is necessary for the purpose of recording the results of the conversation.
- ttz Bremerhaven will only record the meeting/webinar if you have been notified in advance.
Duration of storage of your personal data:
If there is no longer need for further storage (e.g., logging of chat questions/content, etc.), the personal data will be deleted after the conference/webinar has ended, as far as this is possible for us.
Your rights as a data subject:
As a data subject, you can contact the data protection officer at ttz Bremerhaven (see above) at any time to exercise the following rights (in accordance with Articles 15–21 GDPR):
- Right to information
- Right to rectification
- Right to erasure
- Right to restriction of processing
- Right to data portability
- Right to object
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority in accordance with Article 77 of the GDPR.
